Concilio Latino presents a screening of:
THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES
Fong Auditorium
Thursday (3/13) @ 8pm

revolutionary spirit as Ernesto "Che" Guevara and Alberto Granado
embark on an exciting road trip across Latin America.

2. Fresa y Chocolate Screening
Join CAUSA and Fuerza Latina for the screening of:
Fresa y Chocolate
(Strawberry and Chocolate)
Friday, March 14th at 6PM in Fong Auditorium in Boylston Hall
Widely regarded as one of the best films to come out of Cuba in
recent decades, this Oscar-nominated movie by director Toms Gutirrez
Alea tells the story of Diego, a cultivated, homosexual and
skeptical young man that is enamored with a young heterosexual
communist full of prejudices and doctrinarian ideas. First comes the
clash of two opposite worldviews; then follows fascination and
understanding. An effective mix of humor and disarming reality,
Fresa y Chocolate paints an accurate, bittersweet picture of Cuban
society in the late '80s and early '90s, but it is above all the
story of a great friendship that overcomes incomprehension and
intolerance.
