About Us

History

The Radcliffe Choral Society was founded in 1899 by the first President of Radcliffe College, Elizabeth Cary Agassiz, and is one of the oldest women’s collegiate choirs in the nation. President Agassiz called upon Marie Reuter Gallison, the first conductor of the Choral Society, to establish RCS in order to “give the chance to join in singing with others to every Radcliffe student who wished to do so.” Read more →

Audition

RCS, as part of the Holden Choruses, holds auditions each year at the beginning of the fall semester. Auditions take place in two rounds; the first round is open to all undergraduate and graduate students at Harvard. Read more →

Christmas in Sanders

Join us for our annual Christmas concert with the Harvard Glee Club on December 6th. Escape the cold and celebrate the season in style with traditional carols, seasonal choral a cappella gems, and the world premiere of “Three Poems of Miguel de Unamuno” by Nancy Galbraith.

Ars Vocalis – A Fall Concert

The Radcliffe Choral Society and the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum are excited to present their joint fall concert, Ars Vocalis. Join us on Saturday, November 9th, 2013 at 8:00 PM in Sanders Theatre for a celebration of choral music, showcasing diverse repertoire and featuring an exciting world premiere! Admission is just $10 for students/seniors and $20 for adults. For tickets, contact any member of RCS or visit the Box Office.
