Employs SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner)-certified nurses who are specifically trained to perform exams and collect forensic evidence from sexual assault survivors. You can seek medical care whether or not you report the assault to the police. You may receive free care and do not have to use your insurance.

Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (BARCC)
Provides hotline crisis counseling, adolescent and family services, support groups, medical advocacy and legal advocacy. BARCC also provides violence prevention education workshops. Provides free services to survivors of rape and sexual assault, their friends and family. Website includes information about what to do if you are sexually assaulted. Hotlines:

Office of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (OSAPR)
Provides confidential support, information, and resource referrals to survivors of sexual violence. Office located at Holyoke Center 340 open Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm. Call 24 hours a day for information and resources. Trained to listen and help, confidentially.

Response
Response is a group of undergraduate women who are concerned about physical and emotional violation. They are ready to listen, talk, and help on a variety of issues including, rape, incest, sexual harassment, sexual abuse, and difficult relationships. The Response lending library includes information on rape, incest, battering, harassment, and women's health and sexuality. Located in Lowell House Basement, E-013. Open for drop-ins Sunday-Thursday, 9pm to midnight. Hotline open every night, 9pm to 7am.
