The Harvard Salient - September 15, 2006

The Salient Takes on the World

Membership in the global community isn't what it's cracked up to be

This summer many a Harvard student took the initiative to venture beyond

the humble and protective walls of our dormitories and classrooms

and off into the real world, for an opportunity to experience something

different. The Salient was no exception.

In this issue, a few of our editors, fresh from the enlightening experience

of exploring a foreign land first hand, reflect on their sojourns in a variety

of global locales—Eastern Europe, Africa, and China.
