What I Did on My Summer Vacation

Musings and lessons from our aestival experiences

When classes adjourned for the summer recess, we at the Salient went our ways, just like most other Harvard undergraduates: to internships, to the workplace, and to a packed travel itinerary. And, as usual, the warm weather and renewed contact with the real world had gotten us thinking. In sharing our musings and observations, we hope that we can get you thinking, too. From the benefits of physical labor to the underappreciated wisdom of the French, our reflections this summer may come as a surprise at first. But, at their center, lies the keystone of all truly conservative sentiments: common sense, something of which the Harvard campus could use a lot more.
