Stephen Greenblatt, the chairman of Harvard’s Task Force on the Arts, recently e-mailed the student body, asking for their thoughts on “ways to make the practice and study of the arts a more integral and prominent part of the University’s mission.” While the chairman’s overtures are welcome, University President Drew Gilpin Faust created the task force on November 1, 2007—almost an entire year ago.
