Started in 1883, the Harvard Shooting Club is one of Harvard's oldest clubs. Before the 50's the club participated in inter-collegiate competition, but now due to strict firearm regulation in Massachusetts the collegiate league has practically disappeared. The club's current shooting events primarily include trap and skeet shooting at nearby shooting clubs and ranges. Any member of Harvard University may participate in club activities under the proviso that he/she has proper identification of firearm safety.
