Specs are specific discrete abilites that a character can buy. They have a cost in XP and usually required prerequisetes in terms of skills and other specs. They usually remove a penalty or open up a specific new ability or use for a skill. Specs are used to represent things a character learns that are more "all or nothing" and not as well modeled by a continuous skill.

General

Proficency

Cost: 20

You receive proficiency in one specialty of each skill for free, {RULE DECISION: (only half your ranks apply to specializations you are not proficient with) or you suffer a -N (2? 4?) on specialties you are not proficient with).

Combat

Armor Proficiency (Ranked)

Cost: 40*N per rank

Prerequisite: N ranks in combat, 2*N ranks in Athletics | Power, N ranks in Athletics | Agility, N ranks in Athletics | Dexterity

Reduce the Proficiency Penalty for wearing armor by N.

Powered Armor Proficiency (Ranked)

Cost: 40*N per rank

Prerequisite: N ranks in combat, 2*N Ranks in Athletics | Agility, 2*N Ranks in Athletics | Dexterity

Reduce the Proficiency Penalty for wearing powered armor by N.

Weapons

Pistols: Semi, Revolver

Rifles: Assult (AR), Battle (BR), Marksman (BR)

Area: RPG, Missles (guided), Airburst, Grenade Launcher

Heavy: Light, Heavy Machine Gun (HMG), Automatic Grenade Launcher (AGL), AMR

Thrown Grenades

Armor

Unpowered: Light, Medium Heavy

Powered: Light Medium Heavy

Masteries

Expert and Master in each weapon, give extra bonuses/reduce penalties

Bravery

Ability to act unaffected by stresses in combat

1: can handle gunfire in your vicinity without penalty

2: can handle gunfire at you

3: Can handle near misses

4: can handle getting shot, allies getting shot

Social

Seduction

You may use geniality rolls to attempt to seduce people. Apply twice your attractiveness score as a bonus or penalty

Other

Medicine

More advanced surgery requires anatomy to make sure you don't mess things up

Specialties within medicine like wilderness medicine
