Dance Back: delay 3, opposed footwork to determine closing defender gets a bonus

Fend Off: no delay, holder's weapon against closer's footwork, dodge, maybe weapon, dance back may be an option for mild failure

They try to retreat

retreater: 4 ticks

Follow: 3 ticks, follower gets bonus

Person who is trying to change distance is the attacker, each threshold of defender's failure allows you to take one step of distance

Modeling a melee each person occupies one square, each range step is one square

2 Ticks: Usually only accessible by skill feats

3 Ticks: Rapier, Dagger, Staff, Punch

4 Ticks: Sword, Axe, Club
