Shooting from point blank you get +5, -1 per range out

In general, switching to AP ammo decreases the damage by 2 die steps and increases pen by 5

Armor

Armor has a Penetration Resist (PR) and weapons have a Penetration (Pen), if you are wearing armor and hit, the attacter makes a 2d10 penetration roll adding their weapon's Pen and compares against your PR

10 delta: Clean through - full damage 5 delta: Solid Breach - 3/4 damage 1 delta: Penetrated - 1/2 damage 0 delta: Blocked - 1/2 damage, stamina damage -5 delta: Warded - 1/4 damage, stamina damage -10 delta: Deflected - No damage

Attacker may choose to spend half of their attack delta to increase their Pen 1 for 1
