LIONEL & MOWER

About Lionel
Welcome to Lionel. You should be glad to be here.
Lionel has the best location of any dorm in Harvard. We are in the Yard, but not on it. When you open your door, you are not on the thoroughfare of Old Yard, but rather have to walk past your own courtyard before arriving on the Yard proper. So we manage to achieve centrality while preserving tranquility.
Lionel has a quaint and homey dorm overlooking our very own courtyard- one of only three houses who do. In this courtyard, you may drink tea and play croquet if you so choose to. Alternatively, you may also use this to relieve yourself orally after a nighttime bender.
There are two entryways, imaginatively named Lionel A and Lionel B. Both groups are extremely tight within their dorms- we have group brunches every Sunday. Yet, it must be said that the apparent overgregariousness of the average Lionel denizen has lured many an undergraduate to the aforementioned lair. Our lair is somewhat of a social center.
The rooms aren't exceptionally large, but they certainly aren't small. The layout is fabulous and it feels quite like home. Its warm and cosy in the wintertime. We are good neighbors to the Holden Chapel, and if you are lucky, you may hear some spine-tingling choral performances broadcast from there.
