SPS Freshman Recruitment Activities

There are two main times to worry about this: prefrosh weekend and early fall.

Prefrosh Weekend

Timing:

The 2005 program will take place Friday, April 29th - Sunday, May 1st. Because we always expect a few early arrivals, feel free to publicize events for Thursday evening (April 28) as well. We will not publicize any events after 12:00 noon on Sunday, May 1st, as visiting students are expected to depart by 2:00 PM that day.

They will publicize stuff for us, with a deadline of Friday, March 18th:

If you would like the Admissions Office to advertise your organization's event in the Visiting Program literature, please email the following information to Christine Mortell (mortell@fas.harvard.edu) no later than Friday, March 18th.

DATE TIME LOCATION SPONSORING ORGANIZATION EVENT TITLE EVENT DESCRIPTION (please be brief)

Please do not email with incomplete information or anything TBD - it will not be published.

Fall Opening Days

There is organized stuff at this time too. Deadline for submitting info for the FAS Calendar of Opening Days is Friday, April 22nd at 5pm.

To be listed we need to have reserved space:

Loker Commons. Loker Commons and the Loker Commons Coffeehouse, in the basement of Memorial Hall, is available for performances, parties and events. To schedule, or for more information, please contact The Memorial Hall Office For The Arts, Monday - Friday, 10am - 6pm. Memorial Hall, Room 027, 496-4595.

Spaces may also be reserved through *The Student Activities Office *in University Hall. All student groups should be familiar with this office. Student groups should send questions about meeting locations and room requests to hcdroom@fas.harvard.edu. Given the nature of the scheduling process, the only rooms they can schedule for next semester are Ticknor Lounge, Emerson 305 in the evenings and the first floor of Sever on the weekends.

Activities at the following times will be listed:

Tues 9/21/04 6pm-9pm, 1 hour maximum
Weds 9/22/04 6pm-9pm, 1 hour maximum
Thurs 9/23/04 6pm-9pm, 1 hour maximum
Fri 9/24/04 6pm-9pm, 1 hour maximum
Sat 9/25/04 10am-4pm, 1 hour maximum

We can register by filling out a web form at a Secret URL that Peter has in his email (mail from Bob Cronin, Thu Mar 10 2005).
