We are the Veritones, a co-ed a cappella singing group at Harvard College founded in 1985. We entertain Harvard faculty, students, family, and friends at concerts in Sanders theater each semester. We also perform at a variety of private and public venues throughout the year in the Boston-New York area. Although usually a black-tie group, we dress for the occasion and are comfortable performing in a wide variety of settings.
The musical taste of the The Veritones reflects the diverse talent of our members; you’ll be able to see some of that diversity in the music and media available on our albums and on YouTube. We have released seven CDs to date, one of which was a finalist in the ‘Best Collegiate Album’ Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards. The seventh, XXV, was just released in November 2010 as part of our 25th Anniversary celebrations. It features the Veritones of the graduating classes of 2009-2013 singing our most recent hits.
The most important quality of the group by far, however, is the love we all have for each other. We’re not a singing group whose members are friends, but really a group of close friends who have a great time singing at a professional level, laughing hysterically, and enjoying our time together in the unique world of collegiate a cappella.
