Incoming freshman and returning Harvard undergraduates: the Veritones will next be holding auditions in the Fall of 2013. We are seeking talented, dedicated singers who want to be a part of our family. The Veritones offer over 25 years of tradition, a voluminous repertoire of music covering a wide variety of genres, and a truly close-knit community.
How Auditions Work
Our auditions have four stages:
- Preliminary audition where you sing a verse and chorus from a song of your choice for us.
- First night of callbacks, where you sing two selections from our “blocks” (the singing that happens in the background).
- Second night of callbacks, where you sing another block selection, and sing a solo from a song in the Veritones’ repertoire.
- Final night of callbacks, where you sing a final solo from a song in the Veritones’ repertoire, and get to know the members of the group.
In the Fall, all of the a cappella groups run auditions during the same week. This makes for a hectic but thrilling week for all the groups and the auditionees! To learn more about this process, feel free to email us at veritiones@gmail.com.
