Greetings: This week's meeting was light and quick. Attending: Dave, K1XQ; David, N1EXQ; and Nick N2MSE. Operating for the Special Event this weekend is the hot topic. Everyone involved is looking forward to some fun on the air. (If you can operate and haven't emailed Mike, it's not too late: email n1exq@photoninc.com any time.) Harvard will not give us DNS support for our Internet domain: w1af.org. We are looking for suggestions for getting DNS and MX from some kind system administrator somewhere. If anyone knows a hostmaster or sysadmin that might be willing to help us, contact N1EXQ. David will be pulling ham-strings at MIT to see if they can help us. Our alternative is to buy space from an ISP at $252 per year. (If these TLAs (three letter acronyms) don't mean much to you, consider yourself lucky.) Dave notes that the log periodic should have its rotator calibration touched up. It has not been aligned accurately since the building-wide electrical shutdown a few weeks past. (Mike?) Random dust has appeared in the operating area. It may be connected with the recent spasm of room painting in the "art" half of the building. If you notice any spots that need attention, wet-clean the area or notify the ISM, N1EXQ. That's it today. If you can't operate this weekend at W1AF try to work W1AF for the 90th!
