HWC Shield Harvard Wireless Club Bulletin, May 9, 2000

Hello HWC,

We're in the process of bringing the HWC web site up to date. If you haven't visited our site recently, you're missing Phil's many changes and updates. By the way, if you have any older or current information you would like to post on the site, let Phil know. I am trying to track down 3 HWC Bulletins from last year that I no longer have in my files. If you have any or all of these three saved, please forward them on to me. These are:

  1. 9/28/99 bulletin, subject line, "Operating the Special Event" and the article title is "Operating the HWC 90th Special Event",

  2. 10/8/99 bulletin, subject line, "QSLing the HWC Special Event",

  3. 11/11/99 bulletin, subject line, "So Who did Bill Work?".

I seldom clean out my mailboxes and regret that, in a fit of orderliness, I did so several months back.

Congratulations to Tim for activating W1AF in the MAQP last weekend. The MAQP has a new contest coordinator (AA1IZ) who promises us MAQP results and awards from 1999 and 2000 in a timely manner. Rumor has it that the group operating from W1KM in Bristol County did +1,000 QSOs. Looks like we've got a MA contest winner!

Also, not to forget, Sunday May 21st is fast approaching. This is a fine opportunity (unless you're on the way to Dayton) to whittle away at those 10 hours of Flea service that we hope you will donate to the HWC over the course of this season.
