Ray Soifer, HBS '65, W2RS in a letter to the HWC dated December 13, 1989:
"I recall doing a fair bit of operating from 52 Dunster Street, using the club's Collins KWM-1 and an HRO-500 that belonged to one of the members. At one point in 1967, I built a Heath Twoer in the club's `laboratory' (the junk-box room down the hall) and set it up in the shack with a `Squalo' antenna out the window. Surprisingly enough, it even worked! The Twoer, of course, has long since died, but I still have the Squalo. "I also remember helping to organize one of the club's few speaker meetings of those days, featuring Ed Tilton, W1HDQ, who came up from Newington for the occasion. A good time was had by all.
