PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE

The Public Relations Committee is a complex team responsible for codifying WIB's professional image, working to increase public exposure and outreach, and walking the fine line between presenting WIB as a pre-professional educational organization and a fun undergraduate social network. The committee is in charge of both on- and off-campus publicity, and oversees a diverse array of media outlets, including publicity blitz through the Freshman Deans Office and upperclassmen housing on campus, and advertising off-campus in a number of regional publications.

The Public Relations Committee serves as the nerve center of Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business, as five of its seven members serve as liaisons to the other WIB committees, attending their committee meetings and ensuring that PR remains knowledgeable about all organizational publicity needs.

In addition, the Public Relations Chair oversees the creation of the semi-annual WIB newsletter, which is released to sponsors, members, and the community; the upkeep of the WIB website; and production of any and all WIB merchandise. Lastly, a 2004 initiative of the PR Committee is to achieve greater contact and form relationships with women's business networks in Boston and beyond.
