Stefanie Leigh Plant, Public Relations Chair

Since joining Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business in 2002 as a sophomore, Stefanie Leigh Plant has constantly sought to make her voice heard. As Design Editor on the Public Relations Committee in 2003, Ms. Plant was able to combine her passion for art and aesthetics with her attention to detail and business planning skills in order to make a significant contribution in codifying WIB's professional image.

An Army "brat" who has lived across the country as well as overseas in Germany, Ms. Plant studies economics at Harvard and will graduate in 2005 with a citation in French. Although she is passionate about business and management and hopes to pursue a career in strategy consulting before eventually managing her own design firm, she feeds the right side of her brain by participating in the visual arts and is somewhat of a humanities buff, enjoying writing and anthropology.

In addition to her duties for WIB, Ms. Plant keeps has kept busy on campus working as the Business Manager of Diversity & Distinction Magazine, which she saved from a $10,000 debt, serving as a financial assistant at the Harvard Office for the Arts, associate producing the campus-wide Arts First festival each May, and mentoring freshman as a prefect. She spent the last two summers designing Practice & Performance: The Guide to the Arts at Harvard and backpacking around Europe while working for a bicycle tourism company in France.

Ms. Plant is currently accepting applications for salsa partners on the weekends and has been ever since she spent a year as a member of the Harvard Ballroom Team.
