Procedure:
Introduce ourselves and ExperiMentors to kids.
Name introduction and favorite food by kids.
Shout out what science means to you (preferably one word).
Make list on board of kids' ideas and develop into a "definition" of science.
Hand out folders and have them write their names and decorate with a representative picture of science.
Hand out worksheet on the scientific method.
Go over what it is and use it in a demo of alka seltzer and water reacting.
Put alka seltzer in balloon and attach to top of bottle 2/3 filled with water.
Drop alka seltzer in and watch reaction and balloon blow up.
Questions for kids to have them understand scientific method.
Repeat as many times as necessary or as supplies last.
Wrap up.
