First grade Earth Science lesson

Liaison: Sarah Doernberg
Date: 4/1/98
Group Members: Tracy Long and Sarah Norman
School: Tobin
Teacher: Ms. Davis

Materials:

pencils
handout
jackets

Procedure:

First we went over the 5 senses and how you might use each one to figure out the weather.
We then told them that scientists never use taste when making observations beauase
it might be dangerous. We also explained the distinction between weather and the
seasons. We then split the kids up into two groups and brought them outside. Usning
each sense, they figured out all that they could about the weather and recorded
it on the special weather work sheets we made with a box for each of the 4 senses
we were covering.
