Materials:

Snapple bottle, hard-boiled egg, matches, pieces of paper.

Procedure:

I. Review compoments and nature of air -- Oxygen, CO2.

II.
1) Demonstrate air pressure. Toss burning match into snapple bottle and place egg on its mouth, and watch air pressure from outside push the egg inside once all oxygen is burnt up.
2) Have kids try blowing on the uppper surface of a piece of paper and see it lift from Bernouilli's Principle -- fast-moving air has less pressure.
3) Apple air pressure to life -- why our ears pop in planes?

III.
1) Demonstrate air resistance. show that crumbled paper ball falls faster than flat sheets.
2) Apply to life -- parachuting, etc.
