What Can Magnets Do?
Sixth grade Physics lesson

Materials:

-Flexible Magnets
-Wooden Tongue Depressor
-Piece of String
-Plastic Cup

Procedure:

-Students learn about scientific inquiry by testing what magnets do and do not stick to
-They will grow in knowledge by learning what objects are magnetic
-They use magnets in everyday life, so there are many applications

Evaluation:

-Allow students to try to figure out what objects given to them and also around the room are magnetic. They will learn what types of things are magnetic and also how the strength of 2 magnets compares to 1.
