Welcome to the official homepage of the Harvard Chinese Yo-Yo
Club! Founded by David Jeng '03 in the fall of 2000 as an extension
of the Harvard Taiwanese Cultural Society (TCS), the Chinese Yo-Yo
Club (CYYC) has evolved into a full-fledged performing troupe,
now consisting of over fifteen members. Now an official student
club, CYYC often appears on-campus at cultural events such as
TCS Winterfest, Cultural Rhythms and ArtsFirst, as well as numerous
other performances off-campus at local universities.
CYYC's growth in size has been accompanied by a concomitant growth
in community involvement, as CYYC continues to dedicate itself
to the promotion of Chinese culture in the community. In addition
to performance, CYYC leads hands-on workshops for children in
the Boston community. These include workshops sponsored by adoption
agencies, particularly those specialized in placing Chinese children
in American homes.
